| Vancouver, BC. January 9th, 2004. Thunderbird Films Inc. today inked an exclusive worldwide distribution deal with NOWTV. According to Thunderbird CEO, Tim Gamble, "NOWTV is a wonderful organization with a tremendous future that we are excited to be part of. NOWTV has a library of programming that is potentially very sellable worldwide. We also like the brand and format of NOWTV and see a great potential there." Thunderbird already has several deals in negotiations including a license of the ongoing NOWTV television series, "It's a New Day," to Kablevision in Indonesia. NOWTV Managing Director, Jeff Thiessen, was equally positive. "We are very excited to be in business with Thunderbird. Tim Gamble and Mike Shepard have exceptional contacts in international television, not to mention the skills the other partners bring in international co-finance, and export. We look forward to a great long term collaboration and expanding our enterprises together." Founded in June of 2003, Thunderbird Films Inc. is an international distributor of television and film programming. Thunderbird has been registered under the Provincial Small Business Venture Capital Act, and as such has a mandate to export television and film programming that has been produced in British Columbia. NOWTV is Channel 10 in Vancouver, and is entitled to basic cable carriage in the Lower Mainland. Through its parent company, Trinity Television, NOWTV will be launched in Winnipeg later this year. Additional television broadcast licenses will be applied for at the CRTC. NOWTV's vision is to reinvent religious television for mainstream Canadian audiences. NOWTV's programming draws out the spiritual or religious elements of life as expressed through popular mass appeal genres of television, including newsmagazines, comedies, dramas and human interest shows. | |
