MENACE

MENACE recounts the events of March 3, 2005, when four police officers were ambushed and gunned down by a heavily-armed, habitual criminal named James Roszko on his farm near Mayerthorpe, Alberta. As an angry nation mourned, a picture began to emerge of terrorized community and a police force frustrated in its attempts to bring Roszko to justice. The film tells the story of that terrible day and why many believed this was an inevitable tragedy -- the violent and bitter conclusion to a decade long struggle between James Roszko, the police force and the Canadian criminal justice system.
